Pacific Northwest Workshop Spring 2008 April 21-25, 2008 Join photography instructors Kathleen Clemons and Ron Goldman for this on location workshop in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We will spend 4 days travelling through Oregon and Washington photographing some of the most breathtaking scenery in the country. At this time in April, the tulips will be in full bloom as well as many other types of flowers. There are 3 famous tulip festivals running and we will stop to shoot at one or more of them depending on the weather. We will also travel to Silver Falls State Park in Oregon’s beautiful Willamette valley for a day of shooting. There are 10 spectacular falls to shoot ranging from 27’ to 177’ in height. The Columbia River Gorge is another famous area we will visit, and there are an amazing amount of photographic opportunities waiting for you there as well. Individual instruction will be geared towards each photographer's skills and interests. We'll have you seeing more creatively and send you home with a wealth of information and lots of great images! Again this year, our wonderful friends at Lensbabies will be loaning us lenses for participants to try out. If you've been wanting to try one of these incredible lenses, this is your chance. We will make our “base camp” close to the Portland Oregon International Airport which offers us an ideal location to start from every morning. There are great hotels and plenty of restaurants all within walking distance. We are working on getting a block of rooms at a reduced rate and will send that information out once you have signed up for the workshop. The weather in April can range from sunny and warm to cold and wet and even a chance of thunder storms and hail so be prepared for shooting in all of these situations. There will be a lot of hiking in several of the locations so keep that in mind as well. Rain gear and boots are a very good idea! Please contact us with any questions and we will gladly answer them. Looking forward to seeing you there! Details: The workshop will begin with a Monday evening get-together for Q&A and orientation. We’ll be shooting Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and finish up on Friday morning. Our workshop fee is $795* and includes all transportation during the workshop. Airfare, lodging, food, and transportation to and from the workshop is the responsibility of the participant. All of our workshops are limited to 8 students unless otherwise noted. * We offer a $100 discount to previous workshop participants. Payment Policy: A $200 deposit is required to hold your place, with the balance due 30 days before the workshop begins. Cancellations: A full refund will be given if cancellation is prior to 30 days before our workshop begins, after that time, we will be unable to offer a refund.
